Winter dressing tips from tgp kids

Winter in Kelowna brings crisp air, cozy mornings and plenty of outdoor fun - but it also means mastering the art of layering! We know how important it is to keep little ones warm and comfortable so they can enjoy every adventure, big or small.

Layer up smartly: Start with a soft base layer to keep skin dry, add a cozy sweater or fleece and finish with a waterproof jacket or snowsuit. Layers trap warmth while allowing freedom to move, play and explore.

Don't forget the essentials: Mittens or gloves, a toque (ideally something that covers the ears), and boots with room for thick socks.

Check for comfort: If your child comes in sweaty, they might be a bit too bundled up; if their hands or nose feel cold, it's time for another layer.

Label everything: Hats, mittens and boots have a funyt way of making new friends at pick up time - labeling helps them find their way home!
